Compositional Features Of “Baburnama”

Abstract

In this article, the poetic model of the compositional structure of Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur’s “Baburnama” is analyzed based on modern literary-theoretical approaches. The originality of the “Baburnama” as a historical-memoir genre is assessed as a factor determining its compositional architecture; the functional place of geographical-descriptive scenes, ethnographic observations, depictions of military-legal events, and lyrical-psychological passages within the text is determined. Also, the compositional system of this work, formed as an example of genre synthesis at the intersection of historiography, geographical thinking, and fiction, is scientifically substantiated.
